GigaLaser Ireland

Benefits · Endometriosis

A drug-free, non-hormonal option for endometriosis and pelvic pain.

Endometriosis affects roughly 1 in 10 women in Ireland. Photobiomodulation is a gentle, non-invasive adjunct used to reduce pelvic inflammation, improve circulation and ease pain, alongside your existing gynaecological and pelvic-health care.

The science

Why light helps inflamed pelvic tissue

Endometriosis is driven by chronic inflammation, adhesions and impaired blood flow in the pelvis. Photobiomodulation delivers 660nm red and 808nm near-infrared light deep into tissue, where it is absorbed by mitochondria. The result is more ATP, less oxidative stress and a calming of the inflammatory signalling that fuels pelvic pain.

Because the GigaLaser covers a 500cm² area, an entire pelvic region can be treated hands-free in a single session, front and back, without pressure or heat.

Photobiomodulation is a supportive therapy. It is not a substitute for gynaecological care, surgery or medication, and does not cure endometriosis. Sessions are used alongside the care of your consultant.

FAQ

Endometriosis & photobiomodulation

Can photobiomodulation help with endometriosis?+

Red and near-infrared light applied over the lower abdomen, pelvis and lower back is used to reduce pelvic inflammation, improve circulation to reproductive tissue and ease pain associated with endometriosis. It is a supportive, non-hormonal option used alongside gynaecological care.

Is it a treatment for endometriosis?+

No. Photobiomodulation is not a cure or medical treatment for endometriosis. It is used as a supportive adjunct to help manage pain, inflammation and quality of life, and works best alongside the care of your consultant, GP or pelvic-health specialist.

How does the GigaLaser work on pelvic pain?+

The GigaLaser combines 808nm near-infrared laser diodes for deep tissue with 660nm red light. These wavelengths stimulate mitochondria to produce more ATP, lower oxidative stress and reduce inflammatory signalling, which can translate into less pelvic pain and better tissue function.

Is it safe if I'm on hormonal medication or planning surgery?+

Sessions are drug-free, non-invasive and can be coordinated around medication and surgical timelines. Your practitioner will review your history and current care before starting a course.

How many sessions do most clients have?+

A typical starting course is 12 to 18 sessions, spaced across several weeks, followed by review. Frequency is adjusted to your symptoms, cycle and response.

Will it affect my cycle or fertility plans?+

Many clients use pelvic sessions alongside fertility support. Photobiomodulation is non-hormonal and can be scheduled around your cycle or fertility treatment plan.
