The science

Why light helps arthritic joints

Arthritis is driven by chronic inflammation, cartilage stress and reduced circulation around the joint capsule. 660nm and 808nm light is absorbed by mitochondria in cartilage, synovium and surrounding tissue, boosting ATP, easing oxidative stress and calming inflammatory signalling.

The GigaLaser covers an entire large joint hands-free, without pressure, so treatment is comfortable even during a flare.

FAQ

Arthritis & photobiomodulation

Can photobiomodulation help arthritis?+

Red and near-infrared light is used to reduce joint inflammation, improve local circulation and ease stiffness in osteoarthritis and inflammatory arthritis. It is a drug-free, non-invasive adjunct to your existing care.

Which joints can be treated?+

Knees, hips, shoulders, hands, wrists, ankles, feet and the spine are commonly treated. The GigaLaser's 500cm² head covers large joints comfortably in a single session.

Will it replace my medication?+

No. Photobiomodulation is used alongside your current care. Many clients find they rely less on flare-up medication over time, but that is a conversation for you and your GP or rheumatologist.

How many sessions are typical?+

An initial course of 10 to 15 sessions is common, spaced across several weeks, followed by review and periodic top-ups as needed.

Is it painful?+

No. Sessions are warm, hands-free and comfortable. There are no needles, no heat damage and no downtime.
